2016年是拉加維林蒸餾廠創立的200周年，同時身為艾雷島七強之一的威士忌蒸餾廠以及該地區第一家的合法酒廠。 
古老醇厚的經典原味不曾改變，這次的200周年紀念活動推出的限定款的8年單一純麥威士忌。 
這瓶獨特的8年限量款，靈感來自於英國維多麗雅時期著名的詩人Alfred Barnard。 Alfred Barnard活耀於1880年晚期，是當時首見的威士忌評論家與旅遊作家， 他在當時對Lagavulin 8年的評價是出人意表的完整、及高的水準。 
這支限定款有Lagavulin飽滿的經典風味，甘甜、濃郁的泥煤風味，搭配溫和、漸進的辛辣口感， 入喉之後甜味漸退而煙燻味漸升，純淨、悠長的泥煤風味在尾韻中點綴些許薄荷清香。
